Finds 4
For this assignment, I have gathered magazine articles, advertisments, as well as a comic strip and a poem from my graduation memory book. When brought together, these finds make arguments about the double edged sword of western society and technological advancements. That is, these finds put pressure on the promise of technology and western beliefs by sheding light on what is often lost when such "advancements" are made.

here is the poem a homeless man recited to me, and three of my english professor friends while we were walking to our hotel at the end of our last night in san francisco. Of course, Kennedy made out becasue reciting a memorized poem to a group of English professor's is a sure way to get a big donation to your cause. The thing that the four of us kept wondering was wether or not Kennedy memorized the poem because he couldn't read it. Although Kennedy surely has multiple literacies (that the ones that help him read which people will cash out the highest for his work), but I often wonder if he can read and write. Regardless of their form, Kennedy's poem was music to my ears: DREAMER'S If dreams were given to lonely men and lonely men's dreams came true, I would force myself to sleep so I could dream only of you. If wishes were given to lonely men and lonely men's dreams came true, I would force myself to sleep so I could dream only of you. If my tear drops could write a love song, but before the love song was through, my dear, you would know how much I do love you. But dreams are for dreamers and wishes very seldom come true my tear drops can't write no love song but when they fall they are only for you. -- Wrote by Arkansas Kennedy
